Q: where is the IAT sensor on a 2009 toyota yaris?
i have a power module to install, and do not even know if the toyota uses an intake air temp sensor. please help.

A: Integrated into the air flow sensor.

Q: 2009 toyota yaris?!?
I have my heart set on the release of the 5-door hatchback to the United States but I need a car sooner rather than later REALLY BAD... Should I just suck it up and buy a yaris sedan? Or wait it out until the 5-door actually comes to the U.S.? When will the 2009s be available anyway?

A: don't buy a Toyota Yaris, the Honda Fit is 10 times better the yaris has a noisy engine, bad brakes and a bumpy choppy Hwy ride. The center gauges are annoying and the ride at anything over 50 mph is terrible. the Honda Fit comes standard with all power accessories, side curtain air bags and ABS brakes.

Q: Is the Toyota Yaris energy officiant Compared to the Toyota Matrix??
Is the 2009 Toyota Yaris more energy officiant than the Toyota Matrix??? ... And how many does It seat???

A: The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) estimated in-city miles per gallon for the 2008 Yaris is 29 (same for the manual and automatic) and on-highway miles per gallon is 36 for the manual and 35 for the automatic. There is likely little or no difference for the 2009 model. The EPA estimated in-city miles per gallon for the 2009 Matrix is 26 for the manual and 25 for the automatic and on-highway miles per gallon is 32 for the manual and 31 for the automatic. Consequently, the Yaris should be quite noticeably more energy efficient. One additional factor to keep in mind is that the current EPA estimates are quite conservative, so you may well be able to add 2-to-3 additional miles per gallon. The Yaris is still made in Japan, and the Matrix is made in North America. If the Made-in-Japan marque attached to an automobile means better quality to you, this may be a factor in your decision. Both the Toyota Matrix and the Toyota Echo, the Yaris' predecessor, are on Consumer Reports' 2008 list of the Best of the Best used car models.

Q: 2009 Toyota Yaris Sedan Base Manual?
Went to dealer got a quote for 12, 995 which is the Base MSRP according to Edmunds. Went to another dealer who gave me 12,400 on the same package. Went today back to the first dealer, offered 12,200 and they started telling me that they will not even do the first quote. I clearly left, because I wont work back up from where I have gone down. I did mention that there was to be NO ADDED fees, and he said that there is a 299$ Documentation fee, which seems outrageous. I believe my offer is legitimate. Anywhere between 12,200 and 12,400 out the door no frills added is a good range according to edmunds. And lets be honest, cars just arn't moving off the lots in this economy. Any input?

A: If you have a variety of toyota dealers in your area, shop around. or even drive a little. I think 12 is a reasonalbe price for a yaris. Dont just go with the first offer you got. but dont expect to get a grea deal just for you. compromise just a little. look online at different dealerships and see what it goes for. even if you cant drive that far to get it. just so you have an idea. i think you CAN get it for 12, (in california) i dont know in what state you are but BARGAIN. they need to sell small cars just as well as bigger cars dont be fooled by the dealerships. bunch of liars. they'll tell you that "X" dealrship is selling it for a lot more just to make you think you/re getting a good deal from them.

Q: Should I buy a 2007 Yaris Toyota in December 2008 or wait til January 2009?
I want to buy a 2007 Toyota Yaris. I know that a car depreciates every year. If I buy the car in December 2007. The car is actually a year old. If I wait til January 2009 (which is a month later) the car will be officially 2 years old. I called the car dealer and they told me that a toyota holds there value and that it won't make a difference in the cost. I know toyotas hold there value but wouldn't they come off there price a lilttle? The cheapest I seen a Yaris was 13,500 with 13k miles. I have 3,000 for a down payment. What should I do?

A: It's a used car first of all and it won't be there in January. A car in January compared to now does not become another year older. IT'S 1 MONTH OLDER AS YOU SAID! Not another year. You answered your own question. Go buy the damn car already and help the economy. If you see a car and you like it, buy the friggin thing. From your friendly Toyota Salesperson :)

Q: Toyota Yaris, Ipod jack?
Hey, My boyfriend has a 2009 Yaris, and it has an Ipod jack. My question is, is it strictly for IPODS or will an MP3 player also work, and is it the same wire as an IPOD would take? I'm sorry, I'm slightly clueless when it comes to these things. Thanks in advance, Mel

A: Im only 95% sure here, but my guess s that its the plug that goes into the headphone jack of the ipod which will work with any MP3 Player i cant i cant imagine toyota made a deal with apple to exclusively sell it for the ipod

Q: 2009 Corolla or 2008 Yaris hatchback?
i tried to get 2008 honda fit but they were all out according to the dealer. :< will need to wait til nx month to get a 2009 model. So i was thinking that maybe I should get a Yaris instead. But i read some reviews. Some people are complaining about the noise the car makes when driving on highway. Some also say the car rattle all the time. I am not sure if that's common for toyota yaris tho. Which car would you recommend 2009 Corolla or 2008 Yaris, taken car longevity , quality, and reliability into account. p.s I just need a small, easy- and economical-to-maintain car to travel to work and drive within the city. thanks all for replying!

A: Corolla! It's bigger, I'm sure, it's more comfortabe, less noise, little more power and I don't think, that much more gas. If You ONLY drive it in the city, then Yaris should be fine too. Also, if parking is a problem (like in New York city) then again, Yaris. Me, I would feel more protected in a Corolla. Look in edmunds.com - find the car make and model and You can see plenty reviews (and you can visit they forums) to help you decide which would be better for You!

I am about to trade a Yaris in and buy a Corolla... I need opinions Thanks, Mike

A: I just bought my husband a 2009 corolla LE- Well, I sold it to him. I worked for Toyota selling cars, I love it. He hates when I drive because I lower the gas mileage(bad driver). That or you might even like the new 2009 Yaris 4-door hatchback. If you have any questions on equiptment I can help-

Q: Which car should I buy?
Out of these new cars which one would you buy and why? Any Car buying tips that you have for me would be greatly appreciated! 2008 Toyota Yaris Liftback 5-spd MT http://autos.yahoo.com/toyota_yaris_liftback_5_spd_mt/ 2008 Hyundai Accent GS 3-door http://autos.yahoo.com/hyundai_accent_gs_3_door/ 2008 Nissan Versa Sedan 1.8 S http://autos.yahoo.com/nissan_versa_sedan_1.8_s/ 2008 Nissan Versa Hatchback 1.8 S http://autos.yahoo.com/nissan_versa_hatchback_1.8_s/ 2008 Ford Focus S Coupe http://autos.yahoo.com/ford_focus_s_coupe/ 2009 Toyota Corolla Base 5-spd MT http://autos.yahoo.com/toyota_corolla_base_5_spd_mt/ 2008 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4-door http://autos.yahoo.com/2008_chevrolet_aveo_ls_4_door/ 2009 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4-door http://autos.yahoo.com/chevrolet_aveo_ls_4_door/ 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS Coupe http://autos.yahoo.com/2008_chevrolet_cobalt_ls_coupe/ I might have a friend or two in it with me but I don't think I'll be driving any more than 3 other people around with me.

A: Toyota Corolla the yaris is junk, bad brakes, bad engine, poor hwy ride, the Honad Fit is ten times better. Hyundai does make some good cars, but the accent is not one of them. Nissan is a good maker but the versa is poor choice compared to the Honda fit Ford Focus were good cars but the new version is bigger, less agile and less fun to drive buy one from a few years ago Chevy Aveo again poor against Honda Fit Chevy cobalt is a chevy cavalier with new clothes better than it was but not worth the money

Q: Car Insurance?!?
Okay so im 16 years old and im going to get my drivers license pretty soon. My dad said he offered to pay for a car but i have to pay my own insurance which is under his name. We have a 2000 Nissan pathfinder which is my dads, and a 2006 Toyota Yaris that is my moms. What price am i looking at paying my insurance with what company?!? The cars im looking at are between 2003 and 2009 Mitsubishi lancer Honda civic Toyota corolla Toyota Matrix

A: Well, at your age auto insurance is going to be pretty high no matter what you drive, especially if you have full coverage (required if you finance a car), but it's hard to give you an exact dollar amount. I would stick with a car in the 2003-2004 range. A honda civic is always a great car because it's reliable, reasonable to insure, and gets good gas mileage. I drive a 2008 civic and I love it. Make sure you ask your auto insurance company about the good student discount (requires B average or better). That will really help lower your premium. Make sure you have your parent's get quotes from other companies besides the one they already have. They might find that another insurance company is cheaper to insure you with. If you can't decide which type of car is the best to insure, just do a little research. Compare quotes for all of the different cars to see which is most affordable for you. The site below is really helpful because it allows you to compare quotes for all of the insurance companies in your area for free. Good Luck!

Q: Help I Need Help With MY 08 ACCORD!!!?
I have a 4cylnder exl 08 accord coupe. The car is nice but its slow. I need to know is there something wrong with my car? My girlfriend has 2009 scion tc, and her car feels quicker. A toyota yaris beat my car!!! My friends 06 accord feels faster. Please help. Scion---161 hp-------Friends accord 165hp-------my 08 accord 190 hp.......

A: Well... If you wanted a fast car in the first place, you should have bought one with a V-6. If you are looking for fuel economy you shouldn't worry about any race results. But if you just gotta show that Yaris who's boss, then you wilol hafta add some items... Start with a free-flow air intake. Don't worry about cold air. It's a gimmick used by aftermarket manufacturers to sell you stuff you dont need. The theory is that cold air is denser so when you pack it into a cylinder, it has a better expansion rate as it heats up. The reality is, by the time the air gets to the cylinders, its hot. Some cars actually have a system that heats the air before it enters the cylinders. So, Just find a free flow intake. On the other side of things, install a free flow cat and free flow exhaust system. Install a set of tuned headers. This alone should bring you 10 - 15 percent hp increase. If you gotta have more... its time to spend some cash on things like higher duration cams, turbos and NOs systems.
