Q: 2006 Toyota Yaris , Can the daytime running lights be?
Can the daytime running lights be turned off by a switch inside the vehicle? Or are the daytime running lights just fail safe and always on? (2006 Toyota Yaris is all the info I have)

A: I have a 2007 Toyota and you can't turn off the daytime lights. I checked.

Q: Does anyone know what size the car seats are in a 2006 Toyota Yaris Yr?
I'm currently looking for car seat covers and have no idea what size to buy. The car I have is a hatchback if that makes a difference. :)

A: It's best to get the ones that are specifically designed for the vehicle. I would say check Google and eBay and also check with the Toyota dealership. I have tried so many seat covers on my '07 Yaris Sedan and none of them have fit quite right. The seats are kind of awkward.

Q: How can I upgrade my stereo in a Toyota Yaris 2006 New Shape?
which installation kit or fascia do i require have looked all over the internet have had no luck

A: If you are in the USA, check crutchfield.com out! They have everything, I'm sure you can do that with your Yaris. They usually give you special brackets since all aftermarket headunit is different shape.

Q: I have a Toyota Yaris, 2006 Hatchback. How can I make a spare Electronic key (Remote) key for that?

A: There is a little metal key tag with a 4 digit number that came with one of your keychains (ideally, you are suppose to remove it and keep it in a safe place). If you still have it you can make replications of your key much easier when you order one in from the dealership. The technology is very specific for these hybrid vehicles and I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else but the dealership.

Q: What are the Reviews on the new 2006 Toyota Yaris car.?

Q: I would like to know wish car is better, the Mitsubishi Lancer 2006 and Toyota Yaris 2006?

A: I think u should choose mitsubishi lancer. its a good car to have, can trust on it competely, well i won't say toyota is poor..it is also a good car to rely on, but in performance, engine, looks and space i think lancer wins and also the services are much cheaper because i have owned both cars (older versions) woohoo :- if u don't know, mitsubishi is also a highly reliable and durable car as it is japanese and lancer has higher value compared to yaris!

Q: need help with buying a new car, toyota yaris 2006, i'm a new buyer?
I'm 21 and i'm buying my first car, i want theToyota YARIS hatchback becuase of its low mpg and i like it's style, it goes for a great price as well. what should i look for, what are some good pointers to give this first time buyer.

A: OMG Buying a new car is probably one of the worst investments you could possibly make at your age. The value of your new car will be reduced by more than 30% the very day you take it home. With financing and the cost of insurance on a new vehicle it is a mystery to me that anyone who is not very wealthy could do that to themselves. Look for a quality certified used car and try to pay as much downpayment as you can afford. Finance charges are outrageous and they can easily consume the value of any newer vehicle. Insurance on a slightly used vehicle can be much less as well. Please do not let the finance company vultures and the auto giant maggots take all of the money you are likely to earn over the next five or six years. There are much better ways to purchase a good vehicle.

Q: How we have in Egypt A 2006 1300cc TOYOTA YARIS though it is officially 1500cc at www.TOYOTA.com?

A: nothing new about that pal ..most of the cars running in the streets of Egypt are smaller in the engine capacity than the ones abroad .and thats because the higher the c.c. of a car ,the higher the customs paid on that car .. so most imported cars are made exclusively for the Egyptian market with less c.c. and sometimes less options to make it more affordable.

Q: anybody purchased Toyota Yaris recently? i want to buy one 2006 Yaris, 1.5L, 4 doors, auto.?
but dont know how much the drive away price is. could anybody tell me? thanks a lot.

A: Dealers are pricing the Yaris like Scions pricing, sticker price and nothing less. I've even heard of some dealerships charging above sticker because of demand. Price is $12,750 but you should be able to purchase for $12,250. Go to http://edmunds.com then go to the forum section. There is an area to see what others have paid among other things. Good Luck!

Q: I am wanting to buy an '07 Toyota Yaris 3-dr. hatchback by the end of 2006?
but I want to get the best possible deal I can. I don't want options or luxuries. The only thing I want is auto transmission, but it seems they are trying to charge about $1,000 for that(!), compared to the manual. Anyone know any method that I can cut a better deal on my car since I will pay cash up front? Or is that actually a handicap? I have been told different things. Please advise if you can help. Thanks.

A: Unfortunately for you the Yaris is selling for full price right now. In California there is a $500 markup on most Yaris' If you can wait until January 2007 you may have some bargaining room. Paying the vehicle in cash is always an advantage. You will have more say in what goes on with the deal. I would suggest looking at Edmunds.com and look for TMV (True Market Value). Or go to www.carsdirect.com Carsdirect can tell you what the average transaction price of the car is and what most people are paying for it. Hope that helped and good luck!

Q: Can you trade in a really old car for a 2006 or 2007 car?
I have this '85 Ford Bronco that I bought 4 months ago and I can’t stand driving it. I was wondering if I could trade it in at a dealership for a 2006 or 2007 Toyota Yaris. I don’t really understand all about trading in a car so could someone explain the trading in process and if this trade is possible.

A: of course you can, you wont get much though

Q: What is your opinion on the new 2006 Toyota SCIOn Xa Hatchback?
Similar cars include: Honda Fit, Yaris, Aveo, and the 2005-06 Cavalier. We are planning to buy the Scion Xa Hatchback, but I wanted the public opinion as well. Note: For those uneducated people, the XA is Not the SQAURE SHAPED ONE. The XA is the Hatchback..

A: I looked at the Scion, the Toyota Yaris and the Honda Fit when looking at new cars recently. The Scion is still a relatively new name, even though Toyota does the production. A guy at the Toyota dealership said it's their test run company, so they only put things out under the Scion name to test and see whether they sell well. That's a red flag to me. The Yaris doesn't have much cargo space so I don't like that one at all. I ended up purchasing the Honda Fit. It's a big seller overseas and will probably do well in the sates with gas costs going up. It gets 30-44 miles per gallon and so far, I have found that to be true with mine. The back seats fold completely flat without having to remove any seat parts, which opens up tons of cargo space. It drives well in teh city and on the highway. It doesn't have tons of cubbies but that's not a make it or break it for me anyway. If you're looking to compare you can go to Edmunds.com and compare all 3 models side by side. I would rank them as follows #1 Fit, #2 Scion #3 Yaris (because it's reviews are bad and nothing comes standard.

Q: I want to buy a car in Santiago, Chile to use it for a month. What do you think the prices would be?
I already know that a new 2006 Toyota Yaris is 800,000.00 pesos ( $1576.00 ). I want a nicer faster car, could you give me some prices please? Its much cheaper than renting a car for a month.

A: Man, You don't really need a car to find your way around Santiago...and if you are going to be there just for a month I wouldn't recommend it. Public transportation in Santiago is what almost everyone uses, even if they own cars. You will find buses (micros) to everywhere (believe me) even to go to other parts of Chile, and they are also very cheap. As for your actual question, can't really help you with it, but I think that a new car will cost you way more than $1.000.000.00 chilean pesos...you could find a used one for less maybe...I would say that renting one should be cheaper than buying...and you won't have the problem that you will have to sell it fast before leaving. Consider that...it will save you a lot of $$$ that you could use for other stuff while in there, like food, visiting nice places like "Valle Nevado" if you like the snow or Viña del Mar (beach) which is less than 2 hours away from Santiago. Hope you have a good time while in Chile, is very beautiful.
