Q: 2009 Toyota Tundra?
Hey guys my dad is really looking forward to buying a new Tundra soon. So I just wanted to know some question about the Tundra. First of what are the difference going to be between 2008 model year and 2009 model year. Does the TRD off road package come on 2x4 trucks, and I heard that Toyota will introduce a Rock Warrior trim on the Tundra, is this true?
A: the TRD does come it 2x4 models, it just hads a off-road capabble shocks
there are no difference between the 08 and 09 models...same trims (grade,sr5,limited) only a new trim will be added called iron man, but thats more of a limmited addition model
dont think they will add another trim because they just added the "grade" trim in 2008
if i was him i would get a new 2008 in december because dealerships try to clear there inventory to make room for the new 09 coming...there the same thing anyways
tell him to try out the 4.7 v8 or if he wants more power the5.7 380 hp v8 with the 6 speed tranny
the crewmax is nice but only comes in a 5 foot bed so its not that great if hes going to use it for work..its more of a family mover
the double cabs have the 6.5 bed and plenty of back seat room but it just weird to me

i just turned 17 and i got a 2009 toyota tundra for my birth day and my old car is a 04 ford escape its really nice and i was going to sell it to my aunt but now my uncle and mu cousin both want to buy it and there both offering me more money than she was but should i give it to her becouse she asked first or should i take themoney and run
A: Money sounds good but you already offered it to your Aunt.
how would you feel if your aunt offered you something and then gave it to some one else.
you have to be a man of your word so you can be trust worthy in future.

Q: Is Motor Trend TRUSTWORTHY?
With Motor Trends "Car of the Year" award going to the Nissan GTR. (Great car but not a Viper SRT 10 or Vette Z06) and the list only having 2 American made vehicles as contenders and none as finalist has Motor Trend proven themselves as a unrealable source for new car buyers? To show further bias they ranked the Honda Fit as a finalist and the new Dodge Challenger as a contender.
And with there trucks the list goes as followed....

#4 2009 Dodge Ram
#5 2009 Toyota Tundra
#6 2009 Nissan Titan
The Silverado and Sierrea are the SAME truck. Just different badges!!!

Motot trendy's articles are written by individuals who write like there stock portfolio or bid was in jeopardy.
Clearly you do not read as much as you claim.
I also said the GTR is a great car. The Viper on the other hand was re-invented NO different then the GTR (Skyline) with an 8.4 ltr V10 VVT that boast 600 hp and 540 lb. ft of torque. by even Motor Trendy's own article that smoked the GTR and so did the Z06. But they like the GTR.
Horrible answer that doesn't even touch the truck issue, but 10 points for atleast answering the question and offering a different opinion. Merry Christmas
A: FIRST - you have obviously never driven a Nissan GTR. It is an exceptional automobile.
SECOND - Motor Trend has been doing business for a very long time and it's writers are considered to be consummate professionals. They do not 'sell out' to the highest bidder and their voting system is quite fair. To fully understand how they pick "CAR of the YEAR" you need to read the criteria that they use. Parts of that criteria is that a contender must be a brand new model or be significantly improved over last years models. The Corvette and the Viper did not qualify under either, whereas the GTR is a wholly new model car.
They also have a subjective rating; which car feels better and is the most user friendly. Some cars have been known break a tie on that rating alone.
So; before you start running off at the mouth read the rules or at the very least read the entire article. Also know that you don't have to agree with them either. That is your right. Read their letters section. You are not alone.
