Q: How do you reset the maitenance req'd light on a 2005 Toyota Tundra?
A: Don't disconnect the battery, the light is tripped by the speedo, not the ecm. This is how to reset it:
Turn the ign switch to the "on" position
Set the odometer/trip display to the "ODO" mode
Turn the ign switch to the OFF position
Depress and HOLD the trip meter "RESET" button while turning the ign switch to the ON position
The Service Maintenance Reminder light will:
illuminate solidly for 3 seconds
blink for 2 seconds
illuminate solidly for one second
turn off
Release the trip meter "RESET" button
Turn the ignition OFF
Turn the ign back ON
That should do it.

I will be purchasing a toyota tundra very soon within the next 2 weeks. I need to know what can I ask the dealership? I don't know about trucks. I will be using the truck for work and to go on road trips.

Q: 2005 Toyota Tundra gas gauge possible problem?
When I got into my truck this morning it said that I needed to get gas and the gas light was on and everything. I filled up on Monday and I have only been 60 miles in town driving. At lunch, when I got in it the gauge jumped up to almost a full tank. Why does it do that? Does anyone else have the same thing happen to them? Also, it only does it to me, not my husband so he can't see what it is doing. Thanks in advance for the help.
A: if the gage is doing that it could be a faulty or bad sending unit. That's what floats in the gas tank and tells the gage where it is at level wise.

Q: 2005 Toyota Tundra Jack Kit?
Where in the world can I find a jack kit for my 2005 Toyota Tundra? I have looked on ebay and have tried unsuccessfully to find a website that I can get it from. I bought my truck in March this year and it didn't come with the jack kit and I don't know where I can buy one. Anyone have an idea??
We look on Ebay because we can find stuff a hell of a lot cheaper than buying it from a dealer and it is new/used. The place I bought my truck at was a small car lot and I doubt that he would be able to get me one.
A: except for the tool that lowers the tire you can just buy a universal jack.
check with a few other owners but I don't think you need it to be a 2005.

hood take needle nose pliers and push the tabs back on both sides and nozzle will go though the hood. Hope i could help.

My neighbor and I disagree that a 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab Hemi can beat a 2007 Toyota Tundra Crew Max 5.7L. What do you guys think?
A: Hemi would wine a race easy if that's what you mean. No I'm not saying this because I own a Dodge or I love Dodges but I have driven alot of many different brands of trucks having worked as a mechanic and a auto body tech and for sure the Dodge Hemi truck is the most powerful truck I have ever driven. If i had to pick one to buy (which I wouldn't because gas mileage stinks!) I would probably take the Dodge myself because they have a good reputation as a tough work truck and they are nice to drive also. Hope this helps.......
