Q: Toyota Tundra?
I own a Toyota Tundra and it runs great,but when I turn on the A/C and Im driving around and I come to a stop,it kills sometimes. Why? And what can I do to fix this?

My office building is located in a urban area and I drive through a slummy area, I see lots of Titans because Nissan markets towards people who consider themselves Urban and to youth. The Titan is very cheap in around my area so that helps young "ballerz" pick one up to make them feel better about their manhood. But yet, I have seen plenty of them with their hoods up on the side of the road, for no reason? or for a reason of engineering? hmm..... How many Toy's that are only a year old do you see parked and getting constantly worked on?
Also why would you buy a Nissan when they have the lamest lawsuit going on?

Q: Is a 2006 Toyota tundra a good vehicle to buy?
I bought a 2006 toyota tundra recently. Is this a reliable vehicle?
A: I've sold Tundras and Silverados. Your truck is the last year of that body style and absolutely has the bugs worked out. It doesn't have the best turning radius but other than that and looking different, it's a winner. Check out a Consumer Reports or Edmunds online. The proof is in the pudding. These Tundras have less problems than all other makes. As far as towing and payload capacity, they aren't the clear winners, but to answer your question about reliability, it takes the gold.
Q: How can I remove my stereo on my 2001 toyota tundra?
I have a toyota tundra 2001 and I need to remove the stereo but the're hidden screws or claps that I need to know so I wont brake my dash trying to take out my stereo.
A: The screws are kind of hidden, they are inside the heat vents towards the top, if you point the vents up all the way you will be able to see them, then all you need to do is remove the knobs for the climate control, and there will be screws located there. After that just pry the cover off(gently). The radio is held in with another 4 screws.

A: If I am not mistaken it is a 585 CCA batt.
Depending if you have the cold package or not.
Make sure you get the proper batt or it will not fit in and hold down.
The Toyota replacement batt has a 86 month warranty and is compatible in price, I would recomend that.
Q: Is there supost to be a transmision dipstick on a 2006 toyota tundra with a 4.7v8 engine?
I'm missing my transmissionsn dipstick on my 2006 toyota tundra v8 4.7whichh I just bout a short timeago, and I wanted to check my transmision fluid and I noticed that I had no Dip stick to check it. I was woundering if it had one and should have someone look at it.
A: On that particular vehicle there is no dipstick. There is a fill plug and an overflow plug on the transmission itself. To fill the transmission, you must use the Toyota manufacturer's automatic transmission fluid and have the vehicle on a flat, level surface. Remove the overflow plug and place a drain pan under it to catch any excess that runs out. Remove the fill plug, and fill the transmission with approved fluid until it begins to run out of the overflow hole. Wait until the excess has finished draining out, then reinstall the overflow and fill plugs and you're all set.

You can also install an aftermarket computer chip, performance air filter, stainless header, and turbo-type muffler.

Q: How to break in a 2007 Toyota Tundra?
Hi I just bought the 2007 Toyota Tundra and this is my first brand new car ever, I'm 19 so I don't got a lot of knowledge on cars yet. What would be the proper steps into breaking it in, I'm getting 9mpg is what it says on the guage =(. Is it good to drive it longer distances? Another question I had, is it bad to floor the truck when new? I'm coming from a 03 Tacoma inline4 single cab...so this is a big jump in size and power.
A: did you actually read where it says, your not suppose to floor it or ride ur engine hard the first i dont know how many miles for you but , it has something to do with the oil and ur engine, i bought a 06 civic si and i had to wait till like 2,000 miles to finally go nuts

A: yes for sure. there is no way they could sell a full size pickup that would compete in this market with out one.

A: Go to your local toyota dealership. They sell what's called touch up paint for I think around $5-7.
Q: Is it hard to install a remote starter kit for my 2005 toyota tundra?
I have a 2005 toyota tundra v6. I was wondering if it was hard to install a remote starter kit. Do you have to bypass the alarm? What are some good brands to look for?? factory or self-installation. Please give me some info. thanks
A: remote start systems and car alarm systems are extremely difficult to install for a novice, especially on vehicles made in the last ten or so years.
not trying to burst your bubble or anything but if you have never installed these types of electronics into a vehicle you should really consider taking the truck to a professional shop.
Q: what is gonna be a better truck for 2007, toyota tundra or chevy silverado?
Both of these trucks are being redesigned for2007. Both have more power and both will be able to tow over 10,000 lbs. Which will be better? I'd say the Tundra. Look at the toyota and chevy websites and they will tell you about these tucks.
A: First of all, I dont know Y some of Y'all dissin tha dodge ram cuz its a Boasty van. Second, Altho u say chevy has been buildin vans b4 toyota n mayb dodge, but personally, I think that this silverado is a bag of bull5h1t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TOYOTA TUNDRA of course. I mean come on, this here van has mo features than a silverado (not as muchas a Ram), sure maybe less power in hp, but it power depends on the driver. I recommend highly the Tundra. And The Argument DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

So my husband is really set on purchasing a new 08' Toyota Tundra and I want to know if it is really worth it before he goes and buys one...
A: All major mags and others have voted top of class. They are the most efficient, powerful, economical roomy trucks in this segment. with 385 hp they get average of 19 MPG. Have highest lift off ground, and most options and aftermarket UPGRADES TAN ANY OTHER TRUCK.. You can get a 5.7 litre crew cab with XSP package and 4wd for 33,000 with rebates and incentives figured in. KBB and all others list prices after checking if that vehicle had rebates at time of purchase and use this as MSRP. Same or closest Ford is almost 50 grand which would be a E250 supercrew with Tirbodiesal engine. all gas engines are no where near the torque of the Tundra-even the V10.or ability to carry 1 1/2 tons and tow 12000 lb's or get 19 MPG.
Q: check engine light in a 2002 Toyota Tundra?
The check engine light comes on in my 2002 Toyota Tundra. Checkers auto store had checked it and determined that the O2 sensor or the spark plugs are the cause. Can you help determine which is the right problem?
A: You definitely need a better diagnosis. Spark plugs and O2 sensors would be causing two completely different trouble codes to be set, which is what turns on your check engine light.
It's more likely to be an oxygen sensor. They're known to fail, but take the truck to a good technician and get the right diagnosis.

I would pick the Chevy Silverado over a Toyota Tundra any day.
