Q: Is a 1998 Toyota Supra Turbo worth $55000?
I found a Black 1998 Toyota Supra Turbo stock with 13k original miles and is in excellent condition, the owner wants $55000 for it. Is it worth the money?? Is it more expensive and rare if its stock??

A: Yes, although it is on the upper end of stock pricing. Because they are so rare, and since they stopped producing them in '98, they have become extrememly popular and even harder to find ones that are not totaled or modded out. The problem with buying a "modded" out Supra like someone else eluded to, is that you never really know what they did to the engine. They, for all you know, could have done something really stupid. If this ride really has 13K and is fully stock, then that is a good deal. Plus, you get to do what you want with it and don't have to remove a lot of stupid crap some other idiot put on.

Q: Question About 1998 Toyota Supra?
I am buying a 1998 Toyota supra automatic, and i was wondering is it possible to take out the automatic trani and turn this car into a manual.

A: It is possible and it will bolt up if you get the same year and model parts. thats the catch. you would need the transmission and shift linkage linkage. a clutch master cylinder and pedal linkage. the engine ecu is different along with the wiring harness and throttle sensor. Try to find those parts before you buy the car and i think you will find parts alone will be over $2500 used-if you can find them(the car is getting somewhat rare now)-more if new. Replacing the wiring harness requires a lot of teardown as the wires run to the injectors and all the sensors to the ecu and then down to the transmission(different backup lite switch) It can be done but $$$ are the only limiting factor and you will need a bunch.--unless you had a parts car to take everything from for cheap. Good Luck

Q: I have a 1998 Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, how do people sup them up to 1000+ hp?
I have 2 turbo chargers, 1 super charger, strieght exhaust, cherry bomb muffler, K & N cold air intake, NOS nitrous and only have 870 HP

A: You're on your way. Usually the twin turbos have been converter to a single big turbo upgrade. On a stock Supra twin turbo, that one upgrade alone will take you from 320 hp to around 500 hp for around $1500. You have a lot on that car already. you might want to look at a different rear end. Also, get rid of that Cherry Bomb and get yourself an APEXi, Greddy, or HKS exhaust. TRD is good also, but being that it's Toyota's in-house brand, you'll probably pay a bit more for it.

Q: Is the 1998 Toyota Supra a safe car in todays standards?

A: yes they are very safe. the car won multiple awards for being bale to stay on the ground for long periods of time with no trouble. not only that, but the car also has a safety mechanism device that will release a parachute if you for some reason decided to run your supra off a cliff. so stop chasing those road runners wiley coyote........blah...sneeze

Q: i have a 1998 toyota supra!! i have a drifting coach but i need some more?
i tuned up my supra now it has 543 hp 606 turk and i even hook it up the wide body kit and 21's on it. i need help in drifting

A: get rid of the massive wheels and the body kit. If your drifting coach was smart, he'd would have told you not to buy it at all. You'd need to get the front wheels specially tuned so they can turn in farther, get the steering wheel fixed so it can turn with the car faster, and finally hold off on drifting that supra. Your new to drifting so you cant just start off in a supra. You'd have to start off in a slower car first. And find a Drift "Pro". not a coach

Q: where can i find a 1994-1998 toyota supra for 5,000 or less? with in florida?

A: try ebay, good luck so.that is not much for a supra.let alone a decent one.

Q: What is better than a 1998 Toyota Supra? ?

Q: does any one no were i could get a stock 1998 toyota supra?

A: What a great car!

Q: 1998 toyota supra twin turbo?
i have a hks gt2835 twin turbo upgrade should i keep it as a twin turbo or set it up as a single

A: When you say - you "have" an upgrade - does that mean you have it in the box or on the car???????? HKS is a very reliable company with high quality components. I would suggest that you install the kit just as HKS suggests. Meaning that you take every step one at a time and you will be successful in the installation process. If its already installed - then I would suggest leaving it as is. Any modification that hasn't been tested by engineers is a gamble and may lead to more money being spent for you to "become" the engineer - and design and test and redesign and retest. Certainly some people have the resources and time for such activities and some don't. But if you are thinking of using only one turbo from the twin turbo setup then that is a mistake. Try going to a website called turbobygarret.com and research the right size and learn to "read" a compressor map before choosing a single turbo for your setup. As I recall - the really cool aspect of the Supra twin turbo setup is that it uses a smaller turbo for the "get off the line" power and a larger turbo for the "topend" power. One shuts off and the larger on "kicks in" to take over. Hope this helps - Happy motoring!!!!!!!

Q: Hi im looking for a 1993-1998 completely stock toyota supra. If you know anyone selling one please reply?
If you know anyone please either reply or email me at xlilgriffinx978@yahoo.com Im looking for a reasonable price. Something 15-13 years old with absolutley nothing added (like turbo and whatever else because almost everyone makes a supra a drag racing car)to it shouldn't be higher than $10,000 Thanks Corey

A: JIM HAS A 1985 SUPRA HE WANTS TO SALE 951 660 2437

Q: What is faster a Toyota Supra twin turbo (1994-1998) or Mitsubishi Evo (any kind-any year)?
Also which is hotter. which one would you choose to use in a million dollar race, also which one would you chose as free gift?

A: If both vehicals are completely stock, then the new evo is faster then the tt supra. The 2006 evo runs a 13.3 1/4 mile the 1997 tt supra runs a 13.6 1/4 mile. So if I had to keep the car stock I would use the evo in a million dollar race. If I could recieve one as a gift I would want the tt supra. If I was aloud to modify the car before I were to use it in a million dollar race, I would choose the supra. The supra's have a very solid engine that stock from the factory is capable of supporting 800-1000hp where the evo's engine will start to fall apart around 450-550hp without building it up. I also think the supra's look much better then the evo's.

Q: toyota supra!!!!!auto or 6 speed...?
i just bought a 1998 Toyota Supra 3.0L V6 EFI engine and an automatic transmission..am thinking of putting a manual transsmission on it but i was wondering if will work the same as an original manual supra or if it could be slower.... anyways tell me what u think please it is a non turbo (also tell me if it was a good deal i got it for 24,000 and there are 64000 miles on it )

A: Even with the low miles - you overpaid by a bunch. Check Edmunds - even with every option and outstanding condition and the low miles - they show a dealer price of 18k for that car. Don't change the transmission - it's not worth the expense. If you want one with a stick - buy one with a stick and sell that one.

Q: How much faster is a Toyota Supra compared to a Toyota Celica GT-S?
I'm thinking about getting a Toyota Supra and trading in my Toyota Celica GT-S. What's the horsepower like on a Supra, let's say around 1998 to 2000? Are the RPM's still high like the Celica GT-S?

A: Thats a good idea, i wish i can do the same well i do not know what the guy above and you are talking about, the latest Supra model is 1998, what year is ur Celica Here's the specs for the two cars (Stock) 2000 Celica GTS - 180HP @ 7600.00 RPM 1998 Supra TT(Twin Turbo) - 320 @ 5600 RPM
