Q: I bought a 2008 Toyota Solara (new). The car pulls to the left and right. When I brought it back they said?
could not do anything about it because the tires are not recommeded tires. Come to find out they are bigger tires than recommended and they cost me an additional 1800. The brakes also are making a weird grinding noise. Help! Car was sold to me with the over sized tires. I did not know that they were not original recommended tires from Toyota.

A: Your dealer has made your pay for your tires "illegally". If you brought it new and there is a problem with the tires and breaks, they should immediately replace it with NO cost to you. Ask the dealer to return your money. If not, contact Toyota USA or Toyota Canada. If they don't respond or they just give you a run around, contact Toyota Japan. But an international phone card and call them. They will not only replaced your entire car with a new one, they will even pay your for your phone call and give you additional warranty for free. The dealer will be in hot water. Japanese are very serious people. They will screw the dealership for a long time or even close down all together! This happen to us. We contact Nissan Canada and they gave us the middle finger. We call Japan, they replaced the car and gave us additional $1000.00 Canadian for the for the phone calls. (at the time, it only cost us $6 to call Nissan Japan Customer service.)

Q: I am going to buy a 2008 automobile should it be the Toyota Solara SE or the Nissan Altima Coupe?

A: test drive them both and then you decide. the altima coupe looks better but that is my opinion. the dealer had a red altima coupe-loved it but wanted 6 spd. told me I would have to order one and it would take about 120 days. I want to test drive before I buy. try out the new honda accord coupe also. I never had any luck with hondas-alot of problems.

Q: I am going to buy a 2008 automobile, should it be a Toyota Solara SE or a Nissan Altima Coupe???

A: Get the coupe!!!

Q: Potential buyers for toyota and pontiac?
I am working on my marketing project and I have a hard time finding information about a target market (age, income, gender..) for 2008 Toyota Solara, and Pontiac G6 coupe. Does anyone know a good website where I could find reliable info.... Thx a lot

A: Manufacturers put together product demo tapes/dvd's for dealerships to train their sales force with. The videos I watched from GM and KIA (at a dealer I was a salesperson at) both provided target demographics, including age, sex, type of career track, income, etc.

Q: How much does value drop once you drive the car off the lot?
I am looking at a used 2008 Toyota Solara (5000 miles) and they are asking $33,995 but in looking at brand new 2008 I find 32,000 is the top of the line price. Does the Toyota drop value once you drive the car off the lot? that is what i thought. It sounds like the dealer with the used car is trying to pull the wool over my eyes. He is asking 33,995 for a car that originally sales for 32,995.

A: Yes it does, to below what the dealer paid fot it.

Q: Why do TOYOTA Productions seem to have transmission problems?
I was doing a little research on the pre-owned & 2008 Lexus, and eventhough a lot of people were saying that it is a wonderful vehicle , a lot have complained about having some transmission issues(it slips alot). then i went to Toyota, and read some reviews on the Camry, Solara, and even the Avalon, they all stated the same thing. since Toyota makes Lexus, i was wondering has anyone else experience the same problems? I am not a big fan of Japanesse vehicles(only american and european) but i do like the design of the Lexus, and the Toyota, Solara and Avalon. so what my question is, beside reliability, and that is what Lexus and Toyota is known for, if i desided to get one would i run into problems with the transmission?

A: transmissions are tricky since they are usually a closed system and never need to be worked on during the life of a car. however, most people who know cars recommend a transmission flush at 50k miles for a manual and 100k miles for an automatic. check the nhtsb website for any transmission recalls about the cars you are looking at. usually a consistent problem will trigger a recall. if there isnt one, buy the car and be sensible with it. most engine problems can be avoided by prudent driving. AND REGULAR MAINENANCE. full fluid flushes every 30k miles. synthetic oil every 5k miles. take care of your car and you shouldnt have any problems.

Q: Dodge Charger, Toyota Solara or Chrysler 3M?
Of ThoSE 3, which would you pick, all 2008's?

A: Dodge Charger. That is my choice.

Q: Daddy girl spending daddy wallet?
OK...........I'm just gonna admitted......but I'm a daddy girl. But I have a question to ask ya, and I aready asked my friend and they though I was stupid. Here it is: Ok, I'm not old even to drive yet, but I want a 2008 black convertible toyota solara. I check and it's really cheap. It cost about 30,000. But I dob't even know how to drive.............just want it for the look and for popularity. So was it dumb to ask my dad that? Oh yeah..............he say mabe but mabe no because I spend like a lot o money each month buying clothes, glasses, shoes, purses, and more. Well, incase you meanie don't know............i said my daddt say he might. But right now........I think it's a no, because he think I should stop spending money. But I told him I'm a girl and is about to turn 13.

A: A car is a privelege, and a huge, expensive responsibility. If you spend all your money already, you won't have any to buy gas, wash your car, or get it fixed if it gets damaged. Insurance can cost over a thousand dollars a year as well. If I were your dad, I'd buy you a 1985 Buick until you prove that you can be mature and responsible enough to treat your car as more than just another thing to throw away when you don't want it anymore. Cars are not cheap. 30,000 dollars is more money than millions of people make in an entire year. And if you make a mistake and wreck it, it's gone. Forever. There's no fixing some types of damage. If your dad chooses to buy you a car when you are old enough to drive, be gracious and accept whatever it is - even if it's a bicycle. And if you really want a nice car, don't ask him for it more than once, or he probably WILL get you a bicycle.

Q: 2008 Honda Civic?
For my 16th birthday my parents plan on getting me a car so far here are my choices: Toyota Camry Toyota Camry Solara Honda Civic Honda Civic Coupe Nissan Altima Nissan Altima Coupe I've decided on getting the 08 Honda Civic EX with Navigation System, but why should I get a Honda and not the other? They cost the same look they same.. I am so confused.

A: I have an 07 ex civic coupe and I love it. I also looked into the Camry and found it too big and kind of basic. The Civic has some great details that totally make the car.

Q: Which one of these cars would be best for a 16 year old girl?
A pontiac G6 GT Sedan: http://www.pontiac.com/g6sedan/build.jsp?brand=g6sedan&style=gt&year=2008&useFlash=Y A pontiac G6 Coupe: http://www.pontiac.com/g6coupe/build.jsp?brand=g6coupe&style=gt&year=2008&useFlash=Y Toyota Avalon: http://www.toyota.com/avalon/index.html Toyota Camry: http://www.toyota.com/camry/index.html Toyota Solara: http://www.toyota.com/camrysolara/index.html Honda Civic: http://automobiles.honda.com/civic/ and also.. which color? thanks :)

A: Honda Civic! It's stylish, and comes in many colors. It's fuel efficient so you don't have to spend as much money on gas. It's compact (Toyota Camry and Avalon are huge family size cars) and easy to park. Honda is a reliable company, so you don't need to worry about it breaking down or expensive repairs.

Q: What is the best car?
What is the best car. Tell me your opinion what is a good car i can buy at end of year 2008. good looks and MPG 2009 TOYOTA CAMRY SOLARA 2009 HONDA ACCORD COUPE 2009 NISSAN ALTIMA COUPE 2009 COBALT COUPE 2009 TOYOTA COROLLA

A: Peugeot 307.

Q: the new 2008 Chevy Malibu?
doesn't the new Malibu looks like the Toyota Avalon?....the Pontiac g6 looks like the Camry, and Camry solara. Every foreign car thats made in the usa...tend to look like gm, ford, or Chrysler models..depending on the brand!

A: No, it looks nothing like the Avalon. The G6 only looks similar to the Solara in the back. The Avalon, Camry, and Solara all came out before the G6 and Malibu so if anything GM and such would be copying Toyota(which they are not). As far as styling goes the last brand you want to copy is Toyota since they are generally VERY conservative. Everyone right now is copying BMWs design language(bangle butts on EVERYTHING for example).

Q: What do think about this car?
I like this car, but i heard it looks like a chicks car. I want to know if they can bring the price down to about 7 or 6 thousand. I went to the dealership and they already know what i'm looking for and what price.I've also heard it last long and runs good, but I want to know if it's good to have a couple of races with or go fast. and one more think, since a I've heard it's a chicks car does that mean girls like or is it a pssy magnet lol. (Borat) So what do ya think? give me our opinion. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=237944442&dealer_id=94824&car_year=2000&model=SOLARA&num_records=25&systime=&make2=&start_year=1981&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=25&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&make=TOYOTA&keywords_display=&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=78207&advanced=&end_year=2008&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=4

A: Do you want me to be honest or reassuring? Honestly, these cars are NOT very good racers....at all. The 200hp V6 sounds like a decent deal, but there is almost NO aftermarket for these cars...so any serious speed potential is gone. If this were a manual car, I'd say you could do an Intake/Exhaust and maybe a 75hp shot of Nitrous and go have fun....but it's an automatic, so it'll be pretty weak no matter what you do. The best run ever by one of these (with a manual) was 0-60 in 7.1 sec and the 1/4 mile in 15.6 sec. With an automatic it'll be more like 8.1 and 16.6....there are minivans faster than that. In the end it's all up to you, but I wouldn't expect them to drop it below $8000...and in the end you'll have a pretty weak car anyways. I'd say, keep looking and you'll find a car worth racing. Just make sure you stay away from the autos unless you're looking at a V8 or a GTP...lol. Good luck!

Q: I am going to buy a 2008 automobile, should it be a Toyota Solara SE or a Nissan Altima Coupe???

A: Test Drve both of them and see which one is upto your standards. Although i would go for Nissan Coupe coz they are more sports cars and solara are more gentle.
