Q: 2007 Toyota Solara VS 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe ?
2007 Toyota Solara VS 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe ?
Which car? I love 2 doors and I can't decide?! what are the Pros and cons of each car? please help me, Thank you!
Yes I also was looking into the Pontiac G6 hardtop and I did like the hardtop but I heard you have to wait 30 min untill you can close the hardtop....
A: Toyota Solara-
Pros- You will get a great price, always on the dealer lot, good fit and finish, styling attracts few, Toyota reliability
Cons- Ugly to most, underpowered, seems like an old person car, boat-like Lenth
Nissan Altima-
Pros- Fast!! Good styling, good value, materials are top self in its class, Nissan reliability
Cons- Sandbox sized trunk
Pontiac G6 Coupe/Convertable-
Pros- Fastest out of all, amazing curves, GM Warranty, Handsome inside and out.
Cons- Materials are average for its class, a little pricey
2008 Honda Accord Coupe-
Pros- Best looking in its class, interior resembles Acura, Fit and Finish, Honda reliability
Cons- Hate it or love it styling
Personally-
I would go for the Pontiac G6 because it looks amazing and is relatively fast
Out of your two top choices, the Nissan Altima is your best bet.
Good Luck!!
Q: Can a 2007 Toyota Solara convertible be damaged by going through an automated carwash?
A: Re: Solara Convertable and Car Wash
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Its really not a good idea to run your rag top through an automatic car wash. It cost 2400 bucks to replace that top plus labor. I know from experience. And you are not supposed to use any strong or commercial soap on the top as used in a car wash as it dilutes & washes away the scotch guard that is impregnated into the top. Read your owners manual.
Q: Question About 2007 Toyota Solara?
Does any one out there own a 2007 Toyota Solara. If so I have a question about the windows. Does the driver and passenger side leak water to the inside at anytime when it rains or goes through a car wash? If so let me know. Very important to get good feedback on this subject. Thank you
A: if this is a convertible solara then the drivers and passenger window can be adjusted to make them seal better.the adjustment will need to be done at the dealer.
Q: 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe VS 2007 Toyota Solara?
Which car? I love 2 doors and I can't decide?! what are the Pros and cons of each car? please help me, Thank you!
I am also looking into the Pontiac G6 hardtop if you know any info about this one I would appreciate the input. Thx
A: I would tell you the Nissan Altima Coupe because this is the first year Nissan has made an Altima Coupe.
I like both vehicles. But I own an Altima and now I wish I could get the altima coupe!!
I would suggest checking the safety ratings of all the cars. I have heard the Pontiac G6 convertible is the unsafest of compact convertibles.
Q: Which is better for pure performance and fun, 2007 Toyota Solara or 2007 Pontiac G6 Coupe?
A: A Pontiac will always beat Toyota, but if Saturn comes out with an Aura coupe that should take down both of them. Pontiac and Toyota do a lot of model sharing, and I wouldnt be surprised if those two were the same. Toyotas are heavily mass produced, which gives them more problems than Pontiac. Last year Toyota had the most recalls, but the media "failed" to notice since millions would stand against them because of thier reputation. These days reputation is nothing, technology advances so fast it cant keep up. For ex: three years ago GM was one of the worst companies, now they have the most top-rated vehicles, and the quality/reliability surpasses Toyota. Honda is still on top of the reliability ratings. Ford also had more recalls than GM and DaimlerChrysler combined, for reasons like exploding engines and wheels falling off. Here is a quote from the Washington Posts review of the Toyota CAmry "one of which is the Chevrolet Malibu, which in my real-world driving experience has been every bit as good and reliable as the much-ballyhooed Camry but has been maligned primarily because it is a Chevrolet". Oddly enough that was an '04 Malibu VS the totally redisigned '07 Camry. Common problems with Toyotas are plastic rattling until it falls off. People then complain that when they take it to the dealer to be fixed they just say "The cars are made with so much plastic its practically impossible to fix" GM is also the worlds fastest growing manufacturer, and that dosent happen by accident. About the Subaru WRX, a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO is faster, less expensive, and 4WD rally bred as well
Q: Can a 2007 Toyota Camry Solara be towed? 4 wheels down and/or on a dolly?
A: Toyota says that a Solara with a manual transmission can be towed flat on all 4 wheels, but an automatic transmission must be towed on a dolly only. Put the front wheels on the dolly and tow it on the rears, because the rears do not attach to the transmission.
Q: What do you all think about the Toyota Solara convertible (2000-2007)?
reliable?
relatively inexpensive maintenance?
good performance for its class?
I read that Porsche and Toyota have the highest customer satisfaction ratings, but I just wanted to ask on here, too.
Thanks.
A: It is about 3X more expensive to repair than an American car, its performance is ok, but its basically just a rebadged Camry so for its class its not that good, and there are tons of complaints about how Toyotas customer service and how they dont help you at all. Toyotas relibility has fallen in the last few years, so if you buy one get an older one http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjkHcZs4BpRmX1LxHlzT7XTty6IX?qid=20070301210328AAn8E5d
Instead get a Volkswagen Eos or Pontiac G6 convertible. The G6 is esentially the same car as the Solara, but its much cheaper to fix and has a better engine. The Eos is the best, but is even more expensive to fix than a Solora, if it breaks down.
Q: HID Kit for toyota solara?
I have 2007 Toyota solara and i want get HID Kit but i was wondering that which bulb or where should i put the bulb, the one we get from HID kit or u can say which is included in it. As you all know that there is a halogens in solara, so install do i take the headlights and take the halogens and put the bulb inside that. Can somebody please tell me how to install HID kit in SOLARA 2007. PLEASE i really need your help people. PLZZ....
Thanks alot
A: You would have to buy a conversion kit. Just swapping out the bulbs is not an option. HIDs are brighter and whiter and the power draw is different. Go to solaraguy.org if you want to see the directions before you go out blow the dough. Also, as a side note, if you have a lead foot save money for the speeding tickets because HIDs in no way make you incognito on a busy road.
Q: I need wheels for my 2007 solara convertible?
I am looking for a chrome version of the 17" toyota solara 5 spoke wheel, that comes standard with the SLE model. I would love some reasonable priced wheels if possible.
Thanks Everyone
A: tirerack.com and discounttiredirect.com have lots of wheels. Tire/wheel installation places also typically have large catalogs.
Q: Has the Toyota Solara been cancelled after 2007?
A: From what I have heard in the grape vine, yes. Due to lack of sales and interest from the public.
Q: when will the 2007 toyota sle convert.w/navi solara come out&what will the changes be?
A: They are on the ground now and there are few changes, mostly cosmetic. Front and rears have been restyled, and there are minor changes in the interior, including a new steering wheel.
Q: Toyota Camry Solara?
I have a 2007 Toyota Camry Solara and the driver and passenger windows won't go down. I changed the fuse and it works for about 4 times before the windows stop working. I took it to the local Toyota place to see if there was a short. The Toyota place could not find any shorts or anything. I am still having the same problem with the windows. Any ideas or suggestions?
When the windows stop working, I change the fuse and the windows works about 4 times. The odd thing is that when I use the button to take the top off all the windows roll down besides for the driver's side window.
A: If it works sometime and then will stop and work later the thermal switch may have gone bad.
It is in the motor and should be covered under the 3/36 warranty.
Without more info it is hard to tell what is wrong.
Q: Toyota Solara?
Is the Toyota Solara from 2004-2007 a good car?
Is the inside plush and comforatable even in the back seat?
A: good for reliability yes. its a pretty solid car.
as for comfort in the front, yes it is. im 6"2 and i sit in the front with no issues at all.
now for the back, thats a different story. most 2 doors back seats are very cramped. however the solara's back seats arent as camped as they may seem. being 6"2 however doesnt help much. if the people sitting in the back are relatively small such as children or early teens, then its pretty comfy. just dont expect full grown adults to be able to sit there for trips that last hours.

Does anyone know where I can find Kelly Blue Book or other official price guides for 2007 Toyota Camry XLEand Toyota Solara SE. KBB doesn't list ANY 2007 vehicle values. I need to sell my 2 Toyotas because we're moving andI'll be earning less $$$$ (and ALOT less stress). Thanks.
