Q: Orange light stays on on the left side of dashboard on 2002 Toyota Solara?
Hi. All of a sudden (for the past couple of days) I've noticed this orange light on the left side of my dashboard that stays on after I have put my car into gear (whether drive, reverse, whatever). The orange light is in the shape of a car and the back of the car has 3 lines coming out of the rear left and rear right. I thought it might have meant that my tail light was broken, but whenever I brake, I see the red lights come on on both sides of my car. So it can't be that I have a broken tail light. Anyone know what this is?? Is it traction?? Please let me know how I can turn this off. Maybe I accidentally hit a button one day and that's why it's on. Not sure if its serious. Thanks for your help.

A: Could mean that you need to check your brakes?? Or check the fuse. Go get a diagnostic check done on your car.

Q: Where can I find interior photos of my 2002 Toyota Solara/Camry Convertable that show the window?
City Trash truck blew hydraulic fluid into my convertable. took it to a Toyota Dealership to have ragtop, rubber, etc. replaced and cleaned. It's been in for 3 months now! I just tryed to get it out and water spilled onto the leather interior for the third time. I see screws holding the new ragtop down on the inside and I swear they weren't there before. I know the top replacement was contracted out to a small shop in town.Amica Insurance said the dealership had to use this guy. I'm ready to cry, they've had my car since Sept.and I had to pay the $500.00 deductable!!!!!I'm looking for photos of the interior with the top up.Anybody know of any good websites or lawyers?I live in central Massachusetts.

A: when i want to see something like this i just type in the name and year of the car,and put after it pictures,,and it will go to a site some where that has a car like yours, that's the best way,it might take you to a site where their selling one but you,ll still get to see the pics of it,good luck i hope this help,s.

Q: Is the 2002 toyota solara SE V6 coupe fuel injected or Carbureted?

A: Fuel injected. Nothing sold in the US has come with a carb since probably the late 80s and even then it was uncommon. 1989 was the last year Ford used carbs I believe.

Q: how do i reach the top nut when replacing the rear struts on a 2002 toyota solara?

A: If the Solara follows typical Toyota sedan/coupe design, then it will be accessable from inside the car, by the rear seats. Remove the rear carpeted deck cover ( basically it is the finished board that your rear speaker grills lay on.) If you remove them look down at left or right corner you should see them.

Q: Questin about estimates for damage for a 2002 Toyota Solara SLE?
Hello, I have some bad news for me. I kind of ran into a truck by backing out and made some pretty good damage on my car. It includes a new tail light(its cracked and will probably need to be replaced. There are also some pretty heavy duty dents in the back, along with scratches and stuff. Also, close to the passenger where the handle is a little bent. The door still opens so thats fine. The damage is mostly cosmetic, but i wanted to know if anybody can give me a estimate of what the fixing would be. A company gave me a "rough" estimate(just their point of view) and they said it would be around $3000. Anybody else have opinions?

A: You have asked an un-answerable question for strangers to answer. ONLY a body repairman can give you those estimates and only AFTER he has inspected the car, measured the damage, what parts are needed and THEN check his books or call around for parts to repair your car and get prices. Just give it up, get several estimates and have it repaired. Good luck. Pops

Q: is there any 2002 toyota solara v6 with manual transmission out there in dealerships??

A: Go on Autotrader and search for one and have the option as "Manual" and you'll be able to find one. I doubt they came in manuals. Solara's are girl cars so manuals seem like a bad business move.

Q: 2002 Toyota Solara: Does it have keyless entry?
I bought my car without the remote fob and I was wondering if my car was programmed to have keyless entry. Do you know how much it should cost to have it checked at the dealership? Or is there any way I can find out myself? Thank you so much for taking your time to answer my question :)

A: go to www.keylessremotesonline.com The prices are very reasonable and give the direction for programming yourself.

Q: what kind of gas should a 2002 Toyota Solara take? regular? plus? or premium ?

A: Buy the cheapest gas you can find. I own 2 Toyotas, put over 200,000 miles on each one and they don't care and never had a problem with either one.

Q: Would anyone recommend a Toyota Solara with 100K?
I just purchased a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero GL with 72,000 miles. However, I am unsure of the reliability (Yes, I know foreign cars are more reliable). It looks great, but I'm starting to doubt my purchase. Have had no problems yet. I'm thinking about a Toyota Solara between the years 1999-2001 with 100K. Recommendations?

A: I don't know much about cars themselves but I do work for a towing company as a dispatcher. We tow more Olds Alero's then Toyota Solara's. But that may be just because there are more Alero's out there. Also...Oldsmobile doesn't even exsist anymore where as Toyota is proving to be a very good car company. On the other hand my friends owns a Solara...I thinks it a 2000 and while it runs good the paint has started peeling off.

Q: Which car is better and what are they worth?
2002 Saturn SC1 3-dr red coupe Auto trans - 4 cyl engine - cloth seats - 60k miles - manual seats, windows, doors OR 2002 Toyota Solara SE 2-dr silver coupe Auto trans - 4 cyl engine - leather seats - 65k miles - automatic seats, windows, keyless entry Which car would you buy, and what do you think they are worth?

A: A Toyota will run over 400,000 miles, their transmission will last the lifetime,if fluid change evry 30,000miles. It will hold its value. G.M. cars and trucks you need to buy a spare transmission and motor, and computer.

Q: Every time it rains or snows, my car gets water in the trunk ?
It's a 2002 Toyota Solara and the weather stripping around the trunk seems to be ok. Why does this happen and how do I fix it?

A: Get into the trunk with a sheet of paper and have a good friend close the trunk and open on demand. While it is closed on the paper. try to slide it along the seal. If you find a point where it will move easily, you have found your leak and it's dry. Sometimes you can bend the body up to fix it. There might also be a crack in the body in front of the seal, needing a bit of sealer. (Under the paint from a rear collision.) Body shop repair.

Q: Fuel mileage better or worse on new cars?
I currently own a 2002 Toyota Solara SLE V6 convertible. In the past I have owned three 1969 Cadillac Deville convertibles, a 1970 Oldsmobile 98 LS, several Lincolns Dodge vans and F-350 pick up trucks. Not what you would consider economy vehicles. The worst (fuel economy wise) got 16 miles per gallon (Dodge van), the best (this was one of the Caddys) got 22. Now if a behemoth, 6000 pound, monster motor, highway cruiser can get that kind of fuel mileage, why does a 3500 pound, popcorn fart powered Japanese POS only get 17 mpg? By the way, this is my first Toyota and definitely my LAST Toyota.

A: There is no way that caddy got 22mpg... eighteen if you let it coast downhill. There might be something wrong with the solara i dont really like that car but it should at least reach the 28 to 31 mpg... have someone check out the solar i am sure toyota will feel the one customer that left them.
