Q: 2008 Grand Caravan or 2008 Toyota Sienna Which do you think is the better value?
Ive looked at the stats and was really surprised when I found out that the Dodge has been more reliable. So I looked at the price and found out the Dodge was a lot less money I mean like 4000.00 dollars less. So Now I am confused should I buy the toyota just because its a totyota? I dont even know what that means. Or should I buy the dodge and get more equipment fewer recalls and and fewer service visits?

A: The Dodge Caravan is an all around better minivan that Toyota's. It is very reliable, mostly because it's been around since the mid eighties, and that also means they know exactly what the public would want new to their van. Toyota only started producing the Sienna since 1998, and it wasn't too spectacular and hasn't changed much. http://www.dodge.com/en/2008/grand_caravan/

Q: How much gas does my 2008 Toyota Sienna use with the air conditioner on?
My mother and I are debating over gas mileage. Whenever she rides in my van she wants me to turn the air conditioner on. I swear the woman probably uses her air conditioner in the winter! I told her that it will ruin my gas mileage. She says it only brings the gas mileage down by a mile a gallon? I know better than to roll down the windows, but with the price of gas lately, I am willing to sweat and suffer with the windows up and the fan on? What are your thoughts?

A: its your car/drive it and find out.

Q: Should I buy the extended warranty on a 2008 Toyota Sienna?
It's $899 and extends the warranty from 35,000 miles to 60,000 miles.

A: The Toyota sienna's are very reliable and will last you for a long while. My friend has a 98' Toyota sienna XLE, it's only ever had one problem and that was a squek in the door, that $ 899 will pay for something better than a person's paranoia. Put it towrads something that might pay off later on like your kid's college fund ( if you have any) or invest in stocks, or something that will pay itself off in the long run, the extended warranty is only for those who feel like they have to look over their shoulder every minute after their warranty expires to see if something has broken off yet or not. The Toyota Sienna's are a reliable, safe, and overall great van, just have faith in it, and the choice between getting the extended warranty or not is a no-brainer

Q: Buying a new 2008 Toyota Sienna. What is Toyota's APR rate if taking their cash back option?

A: That's not a simple question. The rate is determined by your credit score and term. You should check with your bank or credit union as they sometimes have a better rate for members. They will usually take 3 days to tell you what you qualify for but sometimes it's worth the wait. I sold Toyota's for years and was surprised how many people never got pre-qualified or checked their credit before hand. This gives the Dealer a great deal of leverage as they can tell you you qualify for a great rate of 9.9% when you really could have got a 6.9% rate. The dealer of course will give you the loan and keep the 3.0% as profit. Toyota Financial will go with your highest Auto FICO score from any of the 3 bureaus and you can check that for free at www.annualcreditreport.com You don't have to sign up for any of the b.s. credit monitoring and you can check it once a year for free.

Q: Should I wait for the 2008 Toyota Sienna? I will be buying the limited but if there will be changes I'd wait.
Thanks for the reponses. Any chance the colors will change??? Because they are VERY boring!!!

A: No. Buy 2007 Toyota Sienna Limited with discounted price. I saw newspaper ad $6,000 off from MSRP (with rebate). There are almost no change on the limited excepet price increase. The following changes will affect on CE. LE models not the Limited. 2007 Limited has alreay new features are available now. 2008 change. Sienna offers new product enhancements and Extra Value Packages. New standard features include Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control and rear disc brakes on all models. Also, Bluetooth® is now on all models featuring standard or available JBL audio. The Sienna MSRP ranges from $24,340 for the 2WD CE to $37,665 for the AWD Limited model. The total Sienna average MSRP increases $35 or 0.1 percent.

Q: Does the 2008 Toyota Sienna use less fuel than the 2008 Kia Sedona? ?
Which one of those two vans is more fuel efficient.

A: Toyota 17 city 23 Hwy Kia Sed 16 & 18 look at the Kia Rondo 19 city & 26 hwy the V6 is only a mile or two less http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/default.aspx?make=Kia&model=Rondo&state=new

Q: 2008 Honda Odyssey vs. 2008 Toyota Sienna?
Which one is better and why. Two adults in family, three kids.

A: I would definitely take a look at previous Odyssey problems. I have a 2002 Odyssey. I am just over my warranty at 79,000 miles and the transmission has failed. The dealership says new transmission is $3600. To me, it feels like Honda doesn't design their vehicles to last past 75,000 miles. To get some feel for the customer pain ... just do a search for "honda odyssey transmission." You can easily see complaints for numerous model years. Keep in mind that the transmissions usually fail between 50,000-75,000 miles. Even 2007 models have consumers complaining about the transmissions. Q: Honda Odyssey 2008 or Toyota Sienna 2008?

A: Toyota Sienna 2008. It is really safe, conservative, and affordable

Q: National Car Lease Speciall for '08 Toyota Sienna. Good offer? What should I be negotiating?
First off, don't tell me Leases are bad. I don't need to hear that as it is posted all over yahoo answers. Please just answer the question. The national advertised lease offer for the 2008 Toyota Sienna CE 7 passenger is $2199 down (which includes first month payment but not including tax, title, license, registration, etc) and $249 a month. Money factor is .0013 I went to my local dealer and they offered this: for a CE 7 Passenger: $239 with $4000.00 down for a LE 8 Passenger: $259 with $4000.00 down The down payment breaks down like this: $2199 down+652.00 tax +550 Acquistion Fee+350 registration+$248 registration = $4000 The offer includes gap insurance at no cost. Dealer said all the fees are stuff that they can't budge on. The lease deal is already low. Wondering if this is true and if they can pick up some of the fees. Is this nationally advertised special really better than what you can get normally? What can I negotiate when I got to another dealer

A: I just bought a 2008 Sienna XLE after tax is was a little over $40,000 and my payment is a lot higher than the figures that you are using but the vehicle cost a lot more to begin with. My last van was a Honda (2005) EXL also high dollar but it was on a lease, my first lease and my last least. I would rather pay more and have it belong to me at the end. You could buy one of these for about $150 to $200 more a month but it would belong to you, You have already made up your mind as you didn't want any of us to tell you that this is a bad deal over all. The free gap insurance is not a great deal as it costs about $295 for the intire lease period. Another question I would like to ask is how much over invoice are you paying for this new van? I also just bought a new pick-up reuck from Toyota it was listed at $17,800 and before we talked trade I got them to reduce the cost to .9% ( point 9%) over invoice this reduced the cost to $16,400 and then we talked about what my truck was worth as a trade it. I would check around as this doesn't smell good to me, I may not like a lease but you seem determined to lease so check around just like you were going to buy it the normal way. You don't say what state you are in, so I don't know about anyhing that your state might offer. Here in my state if your vehicle is used for the handy caped it can be altered and you can save the sales tax on it. By the way if you have a need for a handy cap device in the vehicle Toyota will pay for the changes up to $1000, remember that all that glitters is not gold
